Topic: Unable to use SME server to retrieve from ISP mail server

I was simply downloading email with a delay of a week to delete from my ISPs email server, directly to workstations and bypassing smeserver.

Ihave been using 6.0b3 and with the recent big increase in SPAM and viruses have installed Clam AV and Spamassasin using the http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/howtos

However when I enter my ISPs mail server IP in the SME email configuration paneland save it disappears after leaving the screen and returning to it later.

ETRN or multi-drop settings
For ETRN or multi-drop, specify the hostname or IP address of your secondary mail server. (If using the standard e-mail setup, this field can be left blank.)

this email server is at 192.168.2.1 , I save the setting but after I leave this menu and return this is blank - and the email never gets downloaded from this server.

The sme server is set as Server Only as I use a separate 4 port router and ports for
SMTP
HTTP
FTP
SSL

are set to go to the server and appear to work.

Is the email forwarding screen in SME server 6.0B3 perhaps not working - I am beginning to think so.

Due to the above
Tonight I have set a mx record so my sme server will get most of the email directly (I hope) but if I do this I was wondering how one would perhaps use a 2nd SME server as a backup. I don't see how one could re-direct it through my ISPs POP mail account automatically if my server was to fail.
