email adresses from multiple domains
« on: February 02, 2004, 02:57:39 PM »
Hi

I host www.x-domain.dk on my e-smith 6.0 final.
I then have www.otherdomain.dk set up as a virtual host in it's own ibay and it works great like that. no problem on the http department.

However... i would like to have an emailadresse called me@otherdomain.dk instead of me@x-domain.dk! How do i make this happen.

If it need additional rpms install please let me know. I only installed FTP CHroot and update package from Dungog and i updated PHP.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my harddrive?

I set up virtual domains like that but found I needed to reboot before the virtual domains would work for e-mail. Also yourname@eitherdomain works on both. I have been using http://mydomain.com (yes thats the actual domain name) for free dns service for my http: and mail services. As I don't think sme server 5.6 or 6.003b do it.

i have DNS hosted elsewhere and the MX records both point to my SME box. Will the yourname@eitherdomain work for pseudonymes as well? My user account is not really a "good" emailadress so i use a pseudonym instead.
