Hi there, I'm going nuts trying to make tomcat work on my e-smith.

As e-smith comes with jdk1.3.1 preinstalled, I installed tomcat into an ibay, configurated the tomcat.sh file and typed with trembling fingers:

bin/startup.sh

But unlike windows2K, e-smith throws back an error-message:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[root@rennes tomcat]# bin/startup.sh
Using classpath: .:/home/e-smith/files/ibays/jsp/html/tomcat/lib/ant.jar:/home/e-smith/files/ibays/jsp/html/tomcat/lib/jasper.jar:/home/e-smith/files/ibays/jsp/html/tomcat/lib/servlet.jar:/home/e-smith/files/ibays/jsp/html/tomcat/lib/test:/home/e-smith/files/ibays/jsp/html/tomcat/lib/webserver.jar:/home/e-smith/files/ibays/jsp/html/tomcat/lib/xml.jar:/usr/java/jdk1.3.1/lib/tools.jar
[root@rennes tomcat]# /usr/java/jdk1.3.1/bin/i386/native_threads/java: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And quite frankly : I don't even know how to spell libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2

Nevertheless, I launched a search for it : it does not exist.

Hey, I you managed to raise a JSP-server with jdk/tomcat/apache on e-smith, so please, please let me know how to fix it, where to find USEFUL information and so on

Thanx, Erik from Paris
