Block acces to internet from LAN
« on: February 13, 2004, 04:25:27 AM »
Hello everyone,
I use SME server 5.6 in server/gateway mode with 2 lan cards. One of them is internal (LAN), second external (INTERNET). The internal card is only to view the SME server in local area group with samba , ibays, etc... On external card i have mail daemon, apache external DNS server, etc....
And now - This machine is not a router. I have hardware router to give my users acces to internet.
But now, when some user type as gateway IP of SME server - he has an internet access !
How can i COMPLETELY stop the routing function from LAN to internet via SME serwer, of course exclude proxy function. To manage proxy i use "Squid allow IP" manager.

Thanks,
Robert
