SME 6.0, Manually specifying IP to VPN client.

Hi.  Is it possible to configure SME6.0 so that a Win98 client gets the same IP address each time they VPN into the Server?

I have a situation where someone at a remote workstation will VPN in to the main office where the SME server is.  Users in the main office sometimes need the ability to print to that remote workstation (they call ahead to make sure the remote user is VPN'd into the network and that the printer is setup correctly).

However, when I share the printer and try to connect by going to \\remoteworkstation\printer it doesn't always connect (it's somewhat flaky...I imagine it has something to do with the netbios names getting mixed up or something).  Going \\remoteipaddress\printer always works but that IP changes whenever the VPN connection is broken.

Manually giving the remote client (which runs Win98SE /w the required DUN updates) a certain IP in the connection properties doesn't do anything (the server ignores it)

Any ideas on how I might do this (or if there is a better way to go about sharing a remote printer on SME?)

Thanks in advance

Try to use on remote workstation SME as WINS server in the VPN properties. Other stations should be able to resolve the address of this station via name once its connected.
