Topic: strange emails in the admin account

Hi everyone,

I checked my admin accounts email yesterday and was stunned to find it filled with failure notices from the mailer daemon.  I took a look at the message and they where apparently spam type messages that I didn't send.  I'm thinking someone was trying to bounce emails through my server but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and if I should be concerned?

grab a copy of the latest man*.rpm (RedHat 7.1 distro), this fixes this issue.

Hi Peter and Ed,

Thanks for both of your replies.  Peter, One question about the RPM, what exactly are the contents and what is the purpose?  I'm trying to determine what is the cause of this problem also.  The emails appear to be external in nature.

Ed, I have no idea what is causing this.  From the text of the mail failure messages, it looks like someone was trying to route emails through my server, but I'm currently the only user on this server.
