I was putting together a RH9 box for 'mailhub' work - passing the message off to the 'real' SMTP server after scanning it with ClamAV and doing some DNSRBL lookups - when it hit me that maybe SME 6 is the way to go. With the transparent SMTP and qmail, if clamscan was on the box and it just happened to be in the path of the 'real' SMTP box... wouldn't that make for auto-magic scanning?
The reason I wouldn't want to setup the SME box to handle the domains directly is for various reasons. Just a thought - I haven't got the time (right now) to prove myself right or wrong in this ... as my current situation (RH9 w/qmail and clamav) is working 100%...
