Topic: Where are the updates ?

Hi, all.
Please, HFW, Jeff, DMay, Charlie, Dan or someone else at developer level, why is the updates folder (under downloads) empty ?
Browsing the fora you find lots of different references to updates solving various problems with SME 6.0 final.
Are none of them approved since they cannot be found in the proper place in the folder structure ??
I mean, a beginner with a brand new installation may waste hours searching for the solution to a specific problem, waste space in the fora with questions already answered in any number of different ways (perhaps some of them not really solving any issue), and still give up his project for want of relevant info, or because the project runs sour on him during his testing of suggestions not really relevant for his situation.

They are around, but you need to crawl through this site to find anything these days, I have found that the only way I could follow it was to sign up to the devinfo and bugteam mailing lists so that I at least knew what was going on and could use the info as a guide to go and find what I was looking for. I think there needs to be some effort put into the way the site is navigated and how things are documented. Obviously these things take time and we need to be thankful the site is even here, and all this is available at no cost for us, I'm not alone, I have plenty of friends that are SME advocates and everyone agrees what a nightmare it is to find stuff here sometimes.

The documentation is coming on, and there should soon be a new way to browse the HowTos based on requests from many people.

Maybe it needs more people to join the docs team
