The sme server took a hard knock the other day.
Had to "fsck -y /" then all "appeared" fine.
Serve has been running tow days, however the thing that prompted investigation is now there is no incoming or outgoing mail. (no errors, but no mail either)
So I went to view messages from the server manager, and it never did load.
So from Putty I note in /var/log:
The @messages file is size is 23, when I try and view the file I get the message "File is to Large: messages Increase edith: MAXBUF and recompile the editor.
If I view the file @maillog which is size is 22, no problem I can view it.
So I move back down to files under @messages
the file messages:20040222011203 is 7654799 I can view it, but it is choppy (big file?)
the file below it messages:20040229011204 is 526321 I can not view it, it says same error message as above, file is to big.
The next file messages:20040301011207 is 240168 same error file is to big.
I note that when I look at webmail, that It appears to have stopped recieveing cron e-mails etc on Feb 23.
Any suggestions, can I delete these log files?
