I tried the securemail yesterday, it installs like charm. Changed some Outlool and my Thunderbird Client to use it. Set all server access in the panel to "private".
Occurrences: Using ssl connection works on both clients, using SMTP authentication does not.
Mailserver does not support secure authentication or you have entered an incorrect password. Please check your password or turn off secure authentication in the account setting for your mail server.
Mail server 192.168.1.100 responded: authentication failed. - SME 6.0 with Thunderbird 0.4.
On connectiong it wants to install the XYZ Company ssl cert. I do not understand this because i generated an own cert and stored it in /home/e-smith/ssl.key/. Can anyone shed light on this?
If the connection is first made (in the morning, when starting the mailclient) it's mourning that the certificate is not certificated - because it is self-made. I'm searching a way around this.
