Topic: SME 5.6 restore fails to include e-smith-user-webspace chang

We have a 5.6 server that was upgraded from 5.5.  We installed the e-smith-user-webspace-0.1.3.rpm  for per user web space support and it works fine.  However, we found during a DR drill that when we restored a backup to our failover machine that the per user webspace changes did not come with it.

How do we get the backup and restore to incorporate this addition to the server?

First of all go to the FAQ at www.e-smith.com and read what files are included in a backup and what files are restored.
If you are using backup to desktop not all files are backed up.
If you are using tape backup all files are backed up but only some are restored. You need to use flexbackup at the command line and manually restore the other files. Search the forums for how to do this.

Generally you need to reinstal any add on rpms, after doing a restore to a freshly installed OS (which is the recommended method).
