Topic: Samba Passwords

Hi All,

I am wondering . . . when a user logs in as a win client to a Samba domain is it Samba that is checking the user/pass combo ?

If I want to change a users password manually would I then have to change the Smaba password as well ?

How to do either and both from CLI is asked

*Think* its :-

passwd username

and

smbpasswd username

Will smbpasswd update both . . .

Any explaination / enlightenment welcome

if you like to do it on the console, that is the right way.

the other way is to do it in the server-manager. then all is done automatic.
