I am new to SME and this list, so please forgive me any faults.
My problem: I am using sme6 on a small network. Would like only some users to access to the internet ( web & external mail ), other machines should not.
I installed the e-smith-squid-restrict-ip-0.1-1.noarch.rpm package. and the browsing works on the pc's with specified IP address. On those PC's that fail , as it should, the modem dials out and then disconnects ( approx 1 min later ).
Can I prevent this ?
