Topic: Installing PHP "mcrypt" module on SME 6.0.1

I have to install a PHP module call "mcrypt" but I'm not sure how to go about it on SME since I'm told it is usually complied from source with PHP.

I would like to be able to install it by using an rpm and I understand that there is an additional library that needs to be installed as well.

If anyone can help me out I would be very grateful.
