Topic: Lan printer problem SME 6.0 final

I have installed the latest version on a new computer. (A 5.6 version was running perfect but I wanted to go to 6.0)

When adding my HP jetdirect print server as network printer a blank page screen was seen. after a refresh the printer (RAW or with the full name) was added. I tried adding the printer on my XP machine, it worked, but a test print was added to the queue. The were never printed. (I tested to install the printserver on my xp and that worked immediately).

What do I have to do to make the printer print?

Did you keep in mind that your printserver might support multiple ports. If thats the case, your probably need to specify the right remote printerport with your "Network printer name" as well.
Example.
Hostname or IP address of the network printer: 192.168.0.254
Network printer name (enter raw if not sure): raw\P1

try to access and explore your printserver through the windows network neighbourhood. it might give you a clue.

Don't worry about the white screen after adding a printer.
