I'm using a SIL0680 based RAID IDE controler card to alow my DELL server to use IDE HDD.
When I removed my two HDD to verify partitions, I saw that :
HDD1 Partitions : 256Mb | 114,..Gb
HDD2 Partitions : 100Mb | 114,..Gb
The RAID array whas created with the RAID utility provide by the RAID BIOS.
Then, how is possible ??
I choose SME 5.6 install on ONE HDD (to disable the software RAID).
Today, I have only one HDD Hitachi 160Gb. (Maxtor are in stock rupture..) When I add a second HDD, how to do then ?
Please, help me, I feel lost with incomprehensible logic of RAID between SME and my RAID controler card.
Is-it possible, SME don't support my RAID controller card ? Then, why I have no problem to install SME 5.6 ?? (SME 6.0.1 can't be installed on my DELL server, it's another problem)
