Help with Gallery on SME 6.0.1-01
« on: March 17, 2004, 09:01:06 PM »
Hi All,
I have installed Gallery on a fresh install of SME 6 as per the howto on: http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/
I have followed the howto carefully but when I upload the images they only show as a box with a red X in the top left corner, as do the thumb nails. I emailed Jesperhe said and checked that the PNM to JPEG converter is set to  ppmtojpeg as he suggested and I have reconfigured the whole gallery very carefully and even tried settings I know to be wrong but still the same problem. Alternatively how do I un-install Gallery? Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Del :-?

Hi Boris,
I have reset the permissions on the albums folder and then re-configured it for the umpteenth time and low and behold in the albums url I had http://yourhost.yourdomain/albums NOT http://yourhost.yourdomain/gallery/albums
Now it seems to work OK except I am restricted to a 2meg file size, it said that I would be because Apache wasn't obeying the .htaccess file and it looked a bit difficult for me to attempt to alter it, I am more at home altering the image size in Adobe! Thanks for your suggestion, although I had the permissions set it prompted me to reconfigure again.  :-)
Regards,
Del  :pint:

You may want to modify in the /etc/php.ini (via templates) maximum upload size.
search this forum for how-to
