Topic: two separate domains on Two SME servers behind a firewall

I have two SE servers (both 6.01) behind a firewall router. abc.com is the primary server that the router port-forwards to. I want abc.com server to forward all incoming requests for xyz.com to the second server in the local network.

I have tried creating a virtual domain on the abc.com server and changing the IP address under hostnames & addresses but doesn't work as it still tries to access the virtual domain on the first abc.com.

Does anyone have any ideas? Shoudl I change from Server only mode to server/gateway and nix the router??
