there was an australian guy who was heavily involved in sat with esmith. If you search here you will find his details. The files he had available were only for 5.5, but last time I spoke to him many months ago, he said he was working on something for 5.6

Good luck, I gave up with sat a long time ago and went for ISDN

I found it easier to build a RedHat / Mandrake box in front of e-smith to run the sat / isdn for outbound in my case.  e-smith is a turn key solution and routing dialup / isdn outbound and sat inbound is not?

Graeme

Is it one way or two way satellite? Ursys have Debian box that works with two satellite but it is quite involved in the network setup. We have sites that are using it as the interface to the USB satellite modems (Hughes system).

Drivers for sat cards
« Reply #5 on: March 29, 2004, 09:30:59 AM »
Hi guys I think i am the guy Dean was talking about earlier re: sat cards.

Have just had resurgence of interest in sat/isdn works really well. Therefore I have made some rough and ready drivers for both the telemann cards (OMG!) and the pentamedia cards for the IHUG service in australia though I expect they will work elsewhere.

having some issues with remote access but internal lan service works really well. Email me if you want to contribute/use. no SME panel as yet (when I have time)
