Topic: Getting through the firewall

I was of the assumption that anything 'sending out' through an SME server (6.0 in this case), gets responses back.

However my 'jbidwatcher' - an Ebay bidding tool - seems not to work (I guess it could be this free tool!).

but it DOES offer firewall/proxy options in its configuration: namely
1. socks4/5 firewall
2. http web proxy
3. no firewall or proxy.

its a bit beyond me ! what do I set?
also what port number? (the IP bit I CAN work out!)
