OK, here goes. We have 3 locations which are being fed frac t-1's. What my question is, is what is the best way to provide the three locations with local workgroups (location1,location2,location3) and allow each of them to communicate seamlessly with the others. I am thinking 3 machines so that each location would be firewalled, and be fed with dhcp service. From what I can tell, WINS is what connects the locations over the different networks, so how can I specify the location1 wins server in the dhcp service of location 2 and 3? Also, if someone wanted to log in from ANY machine company wide, would all that require is identical accounts on all the systems? The aim is to have one very large machine at location1 where all the user's home directories would be. Then they can log on and get their files from a satellite location. Any ideas would be great!
