A routine which automatically zips emails if a user has not done it.

Good idea. I'd like to see that too.

I have been testing a plug in for Outlook that auto zips all attachments into a single file. So far (running about a month now) it has worked great.

It's suitable on a limited user basis. If there are more  clients, like over 10 you do not want to administer a per-workstation plugin.
