Squid Authenticate - HELP!!!
« on: April 27, 2004, 12:07:02 AM »
I am running SME6.0 and I am having a problem with users using XP Pro. The users are authenticated, but, internet explorer 6.0 doesn't display the internet pages properly after refreshing (only displays HTML script). I have also used Mozilla 1.6. Whilst all pages are displyed properly, the users are not authenticated.
I have viewed policy using gpedit.msc(XP)in an effort to resolve the display problem with no success.
The RPMs i have installed are as follows:
e-smith-proxypass-1.2.0-02
e-smith-sarg-1.2.3-2
e-smith-squid-0.3-2
squid-2.4.STABLE6-6.7.3
squid-auth-5.5.tar.gz

Just to clarify, i think the SME box is doing what it is supposed to be doing ie. SARG is reporting, users authenticated an so on.

We are using broadband-is that an issue??
Do I have conflicting RPMs???
Is anyone else having these problems???
I would also like to know if anyone has the solution for the IE problem (running successfully without refreshing the browser).

Any feedback would be much appreciated. :hammer:
