Topic: shared directory with FTP

I create ibays with e-smith version 6.01.
I allow FTP services, but the directory which I want to make downloads by FTP is not an e-bay, but the directory /var. How can I manage to share, with FTP services, the directory /var with my MITEL SME SERVER 6.01 ? If someone have some suggestions, thank you.
