Topic: File Permissions CHMOD

I am still getting confused about file permissions.
I want to enable ftp on my SME 6.0 server but when I have tried it in the past it has failed saying I have the wrong permissions / read only.

Below is an example of the MC CHMOD facility. Do I have to change the permissions for the folder and/or all the files contained in it or just the files?



I want people to be able to upload and download from my server, which permissions do I have to set ?

Hi JB - I think you want to set the ibay permissions for read and write in the servermanager.
