Topic: Client side Proxy Config

Hi,
I have recently set up a SME 6.0 server on a Win nt network to act as a proxy server, time server and ftp server, yes all the things that a winnt box does not do.
Thank you  guys for such a good product, anyway what I would like to do is set all the clients on the network to use the proxy cache, is there a way to do this through intenet explorers "detect proxy configuration" option. Rather than visit each of the 50 clients and update settings manually. Your help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, SME is set up as a transparent proxy.  Simply set all your machines to point to the SME's IP address.  No other configuration is needed, I believe.  At least, that's all I do on my network.

Yes I to have done the same thing and it does seem to work as a transparent proxy, however in this situation the SME proxy box is not the default gateway, and is below a firewall.
