Hello

I have been using php acc for some time had to do a line by line install

I would like to check out your rpm but cannot download it
I use mozilla/fedora but have tried konqueror also

Your downloads do not work I have tried in the past

I think it is something to do with the file linking

do you have an ftp server where I can get the file ?

thanks Greg

Hi,

I've just try with Konqueror and don't have any problem.
If you want to download from command line use lynx in place of wget.

Regards.

Thanks for the contrib. I just gave it a quick install which went well but when I tried to test I had the impression that it was not working. (Test instructions on the PHP-A web site).

/etc/php.ini after the contrib install was:
[Zend]
zend_extension = /usr/lib/php4/php_accelerator_1.3.3r2.so
phpa = off
phpa.tweaks = on
phpa.cache_dir = /var/phpa

Is php = off really what you wanted? I switched it on.
Regards,
Michael

This version is for php < 4.2

rpm -Uvh sme-phpaccelerator-php41-0.1-1.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        php < 4.2 is needed by sme-phpaccelerator-php41-0.1-1

Would it be possible to produce a version for php 4.3.x ?

Hi,

This is normal, but what is not normal is that I miss one link to enable de panel in the server-manager.
That panel allow you to activate PHP accelerator for one or more ibay.

Sorry for the mistake,
Please download the new version and upgrade the one you install.

Regards.

Thanks for the update which now shows the server-manager panel to enable phpa per ibay.
I was a bit confused because the updated version's number had not changed so you need to install with rpm -Uvh --replacepkgs option.
Question: Would there be a chance to make the "Primary" ibay also available for enabling in the panel? Many people probably want to use the accelerator for their php applications there as well.

Regards,
Michael

From the introduction page
http://www.phpaccelerator.co.uk/index.php

"The ionCube PHP Accelerator is an easily installed PHP Zend engine extension that provides a PHP cache, and is capable of delivering a substantial acceleration of PHP scripts without requiring any script changes, loss of dynamic content, or other application compromises."

Master Sleepy,
Thanks for all your work with the SME, really good stuff, makes it fun and easy.
Many thanks

Your link to the php accelerator download is not working. Is there another place I can download it?

Ryan

Hi,

Great thanks hemps1 for reporting that problem to me.
I'm working to solve that big problem.

For the moment, the rpm for phpaccelerator are back on line, still working for the rest to come back on-line.

Regards.
