I have always done things myself never wanting a do all distro that claims it has it all and never does. I started using the SME server about a month ago and I am totally amazed at this thing. It is everything I have been trying to accomplish on my own by reading and building from source the various functions that the SME server has functioning in an easy to setup .iso.
The contribs that others have, obviously, contributed have all the functions that I have been building from source on my own. This distro has taken a 6 hour job and compressed it into 20 minutes. Absolutley Amazing!
I have also talked with my supervisor about donating to the cause. We are going to try and give $100.00 US for each e-smith server we will put in place. We are a non-profit but we are going to set aside enough of our budget, which is very slim :^), to contribute. It is the least we can do for such an awesome product.
I want to thank all of those who are contributing and trying to advance this setup. I can only offer advice and nothing else but I am very liberal with my limited knowledge of this server and I will hep with any questions I may have answer for.
I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum to post to but I wanted to give my thanks to whoever is maintaining and contributing to this server.
