Starter web page
«
on:

I created a starter web page in e-smith manager, intending it for internal use only. I find that I can see this page from the internet if I enter the (fixed) IP address into a browser. Can anyone help with how to stop this page being accessible from internet?
Thanks
Pete.

Go into you E-Smith web manager -192.168.1.1/e-smith-manager
choose i-bays, choose your bay then go into the configuration and choose local access.

I will disagree with las post.
that would work only for ibays, as primary is not an I-bay youl would not stop access to your main site that way.

One idea could be redirect the primary html site (index.html should have just an automatic redirection) to another restricted i-bay with local access only, that would show an authorization error to outside users and could be viewed only by pc's in local network.
there is another way (the wright way)this is changing the ip rules for your server but this should be explained by somebody with much more experience than me, who will not be too hard to find

The starter page by default only allows "admin" user to write files to "files/primary/html", how can I allow other user accounts to write this directory and publish HTML docs.
Thanks your help in advance!
