Topic: How to install a 2nd SME Box

Hi

I currently have an SME Ver 6.0 running my main website plus 2 virtual sites (configured via zoneedit.com)and all is going well.

I am about to setup a new test SME Box (Ver 6.0.1)for an e-commerce website and would like to know how to proceed (configure)with it to work with my existing network.

I don't want to host the new website on my existing box (virtual domain) as I will eventually migrate the old system to this new box.

I run a 512/512 DSL connection through a DLink DSL 300 and 24 port 3COM Switch.

I tried to look for a howto or previous threads but couldn't find anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Put it inside the firewall behind the first SME box. Once your site is ready for public use, create proxypass (for url or vdomain) for it, so it served from the new box. Then you move all the domains to it, put it online directly.
