Is it posseble for SME 6.* to join an windows domain (mixed mode)?

Of course, samba behaves per any samba

Once you step past just;
No to Domain Controller
and
Setting the workgroup to the same

you nneed to look at the templating system of sme.

The domain handling is interferered with, but the resources of the samba server are seamless, you just need to create a user on the sme box for each windows domain user
