I'm a total newbe and have done my best to search the forum. My problem is that I would like a ftp-server without anonymous login - only with username/password, but at the same time open to internet access.
Also I would like to have an "upload" folder with writepermissions while all other folders are readonly exept for me. I've installed "chroot" and the "ftp-management" programs and have been fooling around with Ibays, but that doesn't give me the same as a "real" ftp-server. When someone logs into the Ibay they get the 3 folders (gci-bin, html and files). How do I get logins to go directly to "files" and can I make a folder in here with writepermissions? Or should I change the proftpd conf file? (and where is it?)
