I have clients remotely who are connecting to my VPN to join the local lan.  After doing so, they are unable to connect to thier MSN instant messenger.  Has anyone had this problem?  Is this somehow a port issue?  Users locally can sign in just fine, but VPN connected users can not.

Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated.

I've been having the same problem. I log in using pptp and most things work just fine just the MSN won't log in. So yes, you're not the only one having this problem.

As for the solution? Still looking myself. Haven't found it yet though.

Jan

Remove the "Use deafult gateway on remote network"

See Properties -> Networking -> Internet Protocol -> Properties -> Advanced.. ->

Works great here :-)
