Topic: Cannot install SME 6.01 on ASUS PR-DLS Dual Xeon motherboard

I've run into a problem installing SME 6.01 and would like to know if anyone has got experience with this problem.
I try to boot an ASUS AP1700 Dual Xeon (socket 604) server (PR-DLS motherboard w/2x1.8GHz CPU's), but only get "Loading initrd.img ...) and then the machine hangs.
The servers hardware is fine, as it will boot into DOS, NetWare, Fedora etc, but there must be some compatibility problem with SME (RH7.3?).

Hi, i have done it with asus pc-dl - 2x2,8 Ghz cpu and 2xsata hdd wd raptor softwareraid... no prob with this hardware, but hardware raid do not run. 2nd Server i made was a asus a7n8x 2xsata hdd wd raptor and onboard hardware raid works with that board.

Download the ISO image again and verify with the MD5 sum.  Sounds like you may have a bad copy.

Thanks, but I found out that there was a hardware error causing this problem and now it works fine.
