This is the second post I've read of yours like this, and why do you want to be spoon fed, why can you not read manuals? use the search system?

All Of your questions are basic in the manual questions it appears you dont really want to learn your self by reading any documentation you would rather us provide you with a direct answer!

I see no attempt that you have even tried to help your self before even posting on here!

Again search on here as your questions have been answered many times!

Please do not mistake my post for a rant or having ago at you, I'm not I'm just amazed that you want to be spoon fed

hello

i don’t think so that i have asked any irrelevant question , I am very new on this site with forum and with SME Server, and will take some time to understand all procedure like, i am working on this site for 3 days but SME search system i just fine and searching with that.
And Forum is very good platform to get help to point, and i also learn manuals but in forum people do help each other with their experience and in manual they used advance term that many person can not understand and just get stuck on any basic issue.
You have done more then 100 posts in this forum that’s why u r jumping.
If u just want to give answer for simple problem, then why didn’t u applied yet for my first post , there i am stuck with mailman and python.
this is very easy to discourage any one , as u r doing

i am still waiting for answer for post one from any help guy

So my post above saying try using Search and reading the manuals are going to discourage people?!?

I also didnt say ur questions were irrelevant, I was saying that they have been answered before

I agree a this forum i good help point, but it seems to me you want us to set the whole system up for you, thats  just my view maybe others will think differently, it doesnt matter if you have 1 or 1000 posts we all dont know everything

You could actually find all your answers above by using the search system

No i was not jumping about   I was simply amazed by what you was asking when most guys on here even new guys would search and read up then if all else fails they then post here, with more info including log files so we can help them.

Others would think of my first post as help

Again this is no rant or angry post so dont take it that way :-) Consider matter closed as far as I', concered

Jesus Byte,

What god died and left U in charge?

This person is new and you ARE ranting!  Perhaps he will run into a more polite group over at ClarkConnect!

I looked and You've only been a member since last January.  Not everyone is as smart or fast as yourself.  Obviously he and other of his kind (newbie)  are not worthy of your time!

Let me tell you, I've used SME for a number of years and until now have not found it necessary enough to waste my time join this group to ask someone what their problem is.  Is it really necessary to rip peoples heads off for asking a redundant question?????  Holy crap man!  It goes on every stinking day in my life.  They call them users.  They also call them network engineers!

Now, I've done many a search on this site and not found the information I wanted.  How-to's that are cryptic and incomplete. How-to's that are not updated or end-of-life merely copied from the old site. This new site is much different than the old site and bit more complex and sometimes a search doesn't return what one is expecting.

If your so darn knowledgeable why didn't you provide some links?  An example of search words that provide more hits.

Someone like yourself might better apply their skill going through the How-to's by every author and critiqued the writing skills, fixing what is missing, providing  links to the pre-requisite libraries required (god knows they could use it).  That should keep you busy enough to not bash, rant and run. You obviously are not a people person, it is reflected in the part where you mis-spoke about not ranting just as many of the forum supporters have over the years.  If you are unable to deal with repeated questions from people stop reading the Forum questions.
Duhh!!!

Feel free to insert  your head here: (':hammer:')
BE NICE!

You think i was ranting eh lol dont know how you could make that judgement when you dont even know me  :hammer:

I dont mind helping out newbies but this guy was taking it way to far by wanting us to literally go there and setup the server our selves.

Byte,
Don't worry about it.  If these people don't want to get up off their rear ends and take some time to read the manual or use a search engine, that's their problem.  Linux is something that anyone could learn, but it takes some effort!  Asking for help is fine, but they should try to figure things out for themselves or they will never learn anything.

1-Qmail is fully configured to use or it requierd
  some configuration to use

yes, it is fully configured for most cases. Use the Server-Manager (http://yourmachine/server-manager)to do more on this part.

2-is it just for internal mail or it can be handle
  both internal and external mail

It can handle internal and external mail, as above.. use the Server-manager. You will get more if reading the manuals too.

At first set up your mail as needed (using the Server-Manager of course). Then try out all other parts.

If you want to try sending mail from your server to outside then use different targed adresses from different providers not just a single hotmail one. If needed ask a friend near you if he can receive a mail from you for testing so you get a fast response.

?? SME server is not an ISP like server, if you want to host many different companies on a single server. If this is what you was asking for.

  builtin with qmail,

Not built in, but there are many contribs for this, search teh forums for thinsg like spamassassin, clamav, ASSP.

Byte - I sympathise - Randall44's rant is totally over the top. Like you I am very happy to help people but mobassir has posted twice asking very basic questions that a quick glance at the manual would answer. It may be some puritanical quirk on my part but I do think that people should try to help themselves before posting. I also agree that it can be very frustrating trying to find info using the search facility - it is not obvious that more postings are available - this is an ongoing niggle, could it be addressed?
Regards
Brian

Byte,
I'm sorry I could not respond sooner...
No I did not single you out for fun.  This is not a porno site :)) I attempted to search the old site for examples, but search has been disabled.  This site does not support searching by author so I am unable to present to you with example(s).  You all have been known to fight even amongst yourselves in the open forums.

All I am suggesting is to do what was in the past..  Ignore.  I hope someday it the future private message becomes available as it is not my habit to engage someone in an open forum like this.  It is disrepectful to both parties...

Best of luck with your endeavors.
