Topic: How to know if a hardware is really good ?

I'm finaly found a good(?) and cheap PCI controler card to allow my DELL server to make hardware RAID 1 under SME 5.6 with my two 120Gb Maxtor HDD.

Installer of SME 5.6 doesn't have problem to drive/manage my new RAID controler.

Is it sufficient to tell, surely, it is a good hardware and put it in a compatibility list for SME ?

If yes, you can add Sil0680ACL144 of Silicon Image to this list.

If not, please, tell-me what tests I must perform to have a great confidence in my new Hardware.

For information, the tested card is product by a  manufacturer called "ConnectLand" doesn't offer a real support about this product (see his website : http://www.connectland.net)
