Hello,

I have a question about the electrical consumption of my DELL PowerEdge 2200 server.

Please visit this topic : http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=23793.msg94835#msg94835

If not, you can response me here but, it's not really the idea of the start of this topic and it will be not really useful for other people having the same questions like me. (excuse my very bad english, I'm really very tired now)

Thank you very much in advance.

Just a little add about SMP or not for SME 5.6

Yes, SME 5.6 support SMP mode because, I restart my SME 5.6 after a reinstallation on my DELL wich is updated with a second processor and, at start, you have the Mitle logo with (on the upper right corner) a menu allow you to choose between :

    - SME SMP
    - SME up

I choose SMP to try and I have no problem now.

I have a question about : "How to make an automatic startup in SMP or not ?"

May be, it will be better to post that on general forum but, it is a question for this topic if somebody wants to try dual processor system. No?

Also, I have another question about my hardware but don't know where to look, go, etc.. :-( I need a little specific BIOS extension card to access to Utility Menu of the BIOS Setup wich must allow me to validate the memory size changement. (1x128Mb --> 2x128Mb) It's so funny, no need this Utility setup to use my second processor (automatically detected and allowed to SME by the BIOS...) but I need it to validate an upgrade of the memory size !??

How is possible ???? :-?  :-?  :-?

Thank you very much in advance.
