Topic: Filter mailer-daemon messages?

Currently I have a couple of users who send large files (MPG/AVI) via email. These are usually fine, as they are sending to locations that accept large file sizes, but on some occasions they get rejected.

The mail then bounces back and clogs their inbox, as it appears to almost double in size - I think this is because the attachment is no longer kept as an attachment, but put 'inline'.

Can anyone suggest how to filter out these messages on the server?

Why not to use webshare contrib for https:// file exchange instead. Easy to use and you send each other e-mails then new files are ready for transfer.
You can compare this with regular postal mail forced to do container shipments instead of envelopes and small parcels. E-mail is not meant for big file transfers.

Thanks for the suggestion Boris, but I have already run into several problems trying to re-educate the users on more simple things such as not calling their ISP for mail problems. It hasn't worked well, and I'm loathe in introduce any more confusion.

These folks are great at editing video, etc but extremely inept at using their PCs. It has taken about 4 months to make them understand that sending a DVD out a 512/512 DSL link takes several hours, and is not instant. They have even tried to email me a DVD image in the past!
