This sounds suspiciously like you've either got a setup problem with Win2k, or you haven't set your Win2k workgroup to the same workgroup you've set E-Smith up to. Check your workgroup settings from the E-Smith manager under Configuration -> Workgroup. If the settings are the same, try deleting all protocols from your Win2k machine, and reinstall. Make *sure* that Win2k is set up with the TCP/IP protocol, and that it's set to get all information from a DHCP server.
