Is it possible to configure the SAMBA or SME to allow a shared drive(ibay) not to be protected by the sme server.
I would like to create an ibay that can be seen from all computers, also them not on the same local network as the sme server. Can it be done without using the sme's "local network" configuration ?

go to the server-manager, and click on Information Bays on the left.

Either modify your existing iBay, or create a new one that is accessible over "Entire Internet, No password Required".

Then everybody, both local, and remote can see you ibay by going to:

youdomain.com/ibayname

it works, but not ecstactly the way i want it, the ibay contains information not fit for sharing over the internet, since a program needs to contact the ibay and it should be able to save data back to the ibay. The program should gain access through a vpn tunnel, but cannot see the ibays since the sme server is having some trouble with allowing the vpn ip addresses to access the ibays.....hope this make sense.....

You would need to use the local networks then. I have remote Lans (two) that have access here by the same method.

Yes, I have already tried to use the "local network" part to create access for my vpn clients, but some how it does not seem to be working. My clients either have 192.168.254.x or 192.168.11.x as i.p. and both ranges have been added to be allowed entrance by the sme server. Any other suggestions is very welcome :-)
