Mirrors – why not??
« on: September 13, 2004, 10:00:45 PM »
Hi there,

Why aren’t there any download mirrors out there. The download site has one – I repeat, ONE link to ibiblio mirror – It’s not reachable from Denmark at the present hour :-(

All other links are for the good old e-smith release…

Please contact www.sslug.dk witch is one of the worlds largest LUG’s with more than 5000 users – they might help.

Or www.sunsite.dk the have the largest open source mirror in Denmark.

I’m trying to persuade a friend to try the smeserver – he is NOT very impressed, so far :hammer:

Cheers

Try my ISP in Perth. Australia, we have a mirror which I have just checked and is working fine (but a little out of date, will mail them to check their rsync schedule)

Hi all,

many people have donated mirror space in the past. We regret that at the time we could not follow up to those donations.

Please bare with us while we are in the process of setting up the teams and that 1 of those teams will coordinate mirrors.

Many thanks for your patience! (and previous offers!!!)

Regards,

Very nice and thank you for mirroring contributions!

Although for users it's most convenient, contribs.org must follow mirror 'rules' to coordinate official mirrors and follow up to any 'issue' that may occur.

Since the 'official' mirror policy is not finished yet, we appreciate the effort, but contribs.org can not be held responsible for any unofficial mirror at this time.

But then again, this community is motivated!! Thanks!
