Been hanging out in the chat a bit lately, and have ran into a cpl issues

The "dirty word filter" disallows the word "documentation" because of three letters in the middle that refer to a body fluid.

The chat won't allow you to lurk - kicks you out after some seemingly random (but short) amount of time. To get folks to hang out there when nothing's happening (ready to answer questions), it seems like it seems like it should let you log in and stay.

Yeah, I know. The current chat system is working but not THE greatest out there. We're looking at a chat system that will allow you to chat on IRC so you can connect through the website and go from there or use a dedicated IRC client.

Here, some can use CGI:IRC to access the francophone SME IRC channel #sme-fr

But there is one issue with such a system : most of the IRC servers don't allow too many connections from one host.
On the other hand, everyone can use a real IRC client.

I vote for an IRC channel !

Please be patient. Work is in progress to establish a new site with more new features, and still have all the good old stuff
