Topic: Status of LDAP authentication?

Anyone know the status of LDAP authentication for SME server?  Is anyone working on it?  If so, I'd like to help.  I do a lot with Samba/LDAP, and use Linux on the desktop.  It strikes me that SME server with LDAP auth coupled with LTSP on the desktop would be a formidable combination for small businesses.

I'll probably start looking at it, but if someone is working on it, let me know so I don't duplicate effort.  Is there a reason this hasn't been done yet?
