Topic: leafnode problems

Hello,
I seem to be having problems getting leafnode running on my e-smith server.
When booting the server iot looks a though nntp services are not
starting up, my client machines cannot connect to news, and any attempt to telnet to port 119 is disconnected.
I've followed the leafnode how-to found on this site but still no luck ?

Any ideas ?

Umm I might have got this sussed, but I want to check I'm not leaving my server wide open to attack.

Altering the hosts.deny from:

ALL: ALL

to

ALL: ALL EXCEPT (myiprange/mysubnet) :DENY

allows me to connect to the sever, why it wouldn't allow this before with the hosts.allow set up as required I have no idea.

Cany anyone advise me what to do ?
Is this secure ?
