I have a customer with a 5.6 server(patched to Update4) which had a mainboard failure and seeing I had a recent verified "Backup to Desktop" I decided to build a new faster box and install ajkeane's Custom 6.01-01 which I've been using on other servers for a while now.
No matter what I do following a successful restore (minus the usual need to remove PC's from the domain and re-join them again bugs) I can't get the users Roaming Profiles to function correctly. A stripped down looking version loads - profile is all there just not displaying correctly. If I add a user to the local machine Admin group it works fine -but who wants THAT!!
For the life of me I can't seem to fix this. I've tried regressing back to 5.6. as well. PC's are WinXP Pro Sp1. I've been searching the forum for some time and can't seem to find this same problem from anyone else previously.
I'm assuming this is some kind of permission's, SID or Domain Trust bug.
All help appreciated.
