Hi all,

With this post I hope many of you will follow up on posting important 'news' so all contribs.org community members are up to date with the latest and greatest ;-)

It's not REALLY SME Server or contribs.org related matter, but more of a sysadmin 'heads up'... and maybe posting [heads up] announcements will make contribs.org even more valuable to many of us as YOUR central repository for all of your information needs, at least we hope so.

This is about a new version of putty, the well known, used by almost everybody, greatest tool out there ;-)

There is a new version available here:

--- Default format ---

Re: Putty
Category: Tools
Type: Security update
Date: oct 26th, 2004
URL: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/

--- end default format ---

Cheers,
RequestedDeletion

ps. Not raising a poll on this, simply reply to this first [heads up] with yout thoughts.

There is no 'fixed' category schema yet, we will find out as postings start comming in ;-) In the mean time, think of a category and it will be 'corrected' at a later stage if possible. But please do use [heads up] in the topic subject so a search will pop up all of these important posts.

Next to the above.. please make d*** sure you are posting the right and up to date info ;-) but then again any [heads up] IS appreciated.

i prefer the "SSH Tectia Client" from www.ssh.com
it is free for non-commercial use.

SSH Tectia Client
Formerly known as SSH Secure Shell for Workstations, SSH Tectia Client provides secure interactive file transfer and terminal emulation. With SSH Tectia Client, system administrators can manage servers running SSH Tectia Server or other applications using the Secure Shell protocol.
