Topic: clamd and antivirus panel

Hello, Folks -

We are up and running at the library where I work with a new SME 6.0 server, used for DNS and email. It is working very well.

We have installed spam and antivirus filtering systems using howtos and scripts that Knudsen has cooked up. They are working great too, but we are having two problems.

1) In the 5 days that we have put it online, the antivirus checker has trapped 400 messages and climbing. That's the good news. The bad news is there are only the choices to auto-delete them after 10 and 20 days. I would like to have the choice of auto-deleting them sooner, so I went into the file /etc/e-smith/web/functions/antivirus (to me, it looked like the place to start) and tried to add the code to the html widget that gives you the choices, but they did not show up. How do you change the panel so the edits work?

Also, if I can't (or maybe shouldn't) autodelete sooner, it would be nice to have them on another page with a format such that we could sort them by from, to, virus, etc.

2) clamd does not start automatically after a reboot. What do I do to fix that?
