Topic: Performance between PIV and Athlon XP

Hello,

I've installed e-smith 6.0 on different systems now. The first one was an Pentium III 1,113 GHz system. The Second install was on an AMD Athlon XP 2200+ system. The third install was on a Pentium IV 3,06 GHz system. The Fourth install was on an Pentium IV 3GHz Hyper threading system.

Amazingly the Athlon XP autperforms all the Intel based Servers/Desktops. And i'm talking about the Latest HP Compaq Systems, with 1Gig of ram, latest harddisks, chipsets etc...

The Athlon Based computer is my own, and it doens't have the latest chipsets etc. Just a normal Asus motherboard with the Nforce 2 chipset. An old 20Gig harddisk and only 256Mb of ram.

If i do a Mysql query on both machines the results are:

Athlon XP 2200: 6,02 seconds
Intel PIV HT 3,06 GHz: 7.42 seconds

Serving off advanced PHP/Mysql webpages
Athlon: 28 seconds
Intel: 40 seconds

All boxes had the same setup!
