when I go to hostnames and adresses
then modify one of the hostnames

I see this
"The ServiceLink DNS configuration and hosting service provides the ability to automatically make hostnames available throughout the Internet.
To activate this server for ServiceLink, click on the Status panel."
and when you click on Status.

I get this message

"The requested URL /server-manager//cgi-bin/service_status was not found on this server."

I can not create adress without  www
e.g.  myname.mydomain.net

The ServiceLink DNS configuration and hosting service is for subscribed SME customers only.  If you have purchased your version of SME from a reseller contact them for assistance.  This feature is not available in the GPL version.
