I'm having a problem with the Secure Email package from pagefault.org.

The secure imap and secure pop works fine for about 5 to 10 minutes then it stops working (It just hangs after making a connection).

I restart the ssl-imap, ssl-popd services and it does not help.  Reboot allows me to work for another 5 minutes.

Any Ideas?

sme 6.0.1
virus scanner and secure email from pagefault.org site.

Thanks,
Edward

Seems to be a Outlook problem.

Upgrading to XP SP2, solved the problem.

I'm having a similar problem with one client (but have another client where Outlook is also used, and don't have this issue). I have a problem understanding how the client can hang the server process(es), too. Restarting the network services doesn't help - they don't correctly restart, so remote access is down at this point - the server has to be restarted to resolve, and there are no errors in the logs.

The only difference I see is that, in the problem case, I upgraded from 5.6 to 6.0, but neglected to uninstall the Secure Email RPMs before upgrading - I did it afterwards, then applied the 6.0 versions.

Can anyone suggest why it is hanging?

Thanks,

As a follow-up to my post last night, as expected the server hung up again today - in fact, within the past 30 minutes or so. There is nothing in the logs, but two instances of the following process were initiated around the time the hang happened:

tcpserver -d -H -R -v -X -c 20 -x imap.tcprules.cdb 0 imaps makesock stunnel -/ ssl -s 451 -g 451 -N imaps

Is there any possibility these are related to the hangs?
